Intital statistics revealed the total import-export turnover of Vietnam in the first 9 months of 2018 hit USD 352.61 billion, up USD 42.44 billion, equivalent to an increase of 13.7% over the same period of 2017.
By the end of September 2018, the total export value of Vietnam reached USD 179.47 billion, up USD 24.44 billion, equivalent to 15.8% over the same period. Cargo production value of FDI enterprises in the same period is valued USD 126.63 billion, making a year-on-year increase of 15.8% and representing 70.6% of the country’s export value. Phones and spare parts make up the biggest among 10 items of highest export value, USD 36.69 billion, followed by garment and textile, USD 22.45 billion and computers, electronic utilities and parts, USD 21.58 billion.
As of the end of September, the country’s total exports fetched USD 173.14 billion, up 11.6% over the same period. Computers, electronic utilities and spare parts rank the first with the value of USD 30.81 billion.
